Sulfuras is finally MINE!

Ahh, after a long long grind (several months) of tiresome grinding and fingercrossing for those pesky low droprates, I finally obtained my Sulfuras, Hammer of Ragnaros. Laughing out loud

Now I just need to finish the Tier 2 judgement set and obtain that silly baron mount (CURSE YOU RIVENDARE!)...oh well, one day Wink

Eat Apple Throw Up Apple...Eat Apple....

Yellooo!

So after a 2 week break I am back in front of my beloved PC. I would love to say that my holiday was all round superness, but that would be a big fat sicky lie. The joys of morning sickness have followed me all over Sweden this past fortnight. The first week saw me oh so elegantly draped over the toilet, then wired up to bags of juice in hospital. The second week had me nothing short of stoned and wired at the same time with a rather inventive cocktail of sedatives and caffiene (prescribed by the doctor I hasten to add).

But apart from these rather obvious down sides, my holiday did afford some enjoyable activites. My first paddle in the Baltic Sea for example, and night after night eating dinner on a sunny terrace with my favourite people in the world.

The Return to Ulduar (book update)

Ulduar, the Great Titan City, hidden deep within the Storm Peaks. When it was discovered, many went there to lay siege on the city and defeat the Old God that rests there: Yogg-Saron. Amongst the brave to enter the great city where the Heroes of Lemmings of the Light. All batteled bravely in the city, defeating enemy after enemy. Unfortunately, when the Old God was within their reach, the Argent Crusaders called all Heroes to report to the Argent Tournament Grounds in preparation for the attack on Ice Crown Citadel. The Lemmings of the Light chose to answer the call and left the Titan City, where the Old God remained.

Now that the Lemmings have entered Ice Crown Citadel and faced off against the minions of the Lich King, there is a stong voice coming from Ulduar that haunt the Heroes. There is unfinished business in Ulduar. The Old God still lives and the time has come to put him to rest once and for all.

One Elf and his Cat - a very personal journey through Northrend. (complete)

This is a personal account of my adventures and experiences during this expansion, my thoughts on various subjects from levelling, questing and rewards through to raiding and “end game”. There are probably going to be opinions that are not agreed by others and even thoughts that may not be shared by anyone but me. This is why I called it a “very personal journey” and I hope that any thoughts you may have after reading this you can share whether you agree with me or not.

With the Cataclysm beta underway my mind has turned to what this expansion has meant to me, how Blizzard has changed certain aspects of the game and if those changes have been a success or failure.

It may be seen by some as a little self indulgent and too long to read in full however there will be a TL;DR at the end Wink

Old content Raiding

After the run of Black Wing Lair last Sunday (which was a lot of fun) I was thinking to organize a raid to a pre WOTLK raid every week. Probably will have a Classic run on the uneven weeks and a TBC raid on the even weeks.

These raids are achievement raids. So the central theme of those raids are about fun and getting the final boss. I also try to make me comfortable with Raid leading and Master looting while doing these runs.

To find out when actually would be the best time to organize these runs, I have made a poll here: http://www.lemmingsofthelight.com/node/3413 It would be very much appreciated if you would vote your preferred time for this (sadly, you can only chose one option).

If you like this idea of organizing these events, leave a comment. Have you a suggestion for the next week (old content raid) you can also comment in this blog.

Let's get those oldies show out Lemmings faces as we faceroll them one last time before they vanish forever!

thanks to all and a message from some pugs

Just a moment ago I was tanking in ToC HC. We just started as I noticed something going on in guild chat. I realized it was Neti, but I was too busy to follow the guild chat (and, who listens to Neti anyway Tongue). And then suddenly I noticed I was promoted to high lemming. Surprised and still busy, it took some time to give all of you my thank you speech (good thing though, otherwise it would be a long one Tongue).

So for those who missed it (or where not present) thank you. Laughing out loud

Though the pug group doesn't like my promotion. Was little off my focus because of it. Their message to me: n00b tank!!! Guess there is a first time for everything. xd We still cleared though btw. Smile

Hey its the DROOD

Hi everyone its Andy AKA Calisan well as you know I left a while ago to work on college stuff that actually has taken more out of me than I expected.

Well the course is coming to its year end next week and I would hope to be back with you all again sometime after that. So I figured I would post a little update while I had a spare 10 minutes and show you 5 photoshop images I produced for one of the assignments.

So feel free to comment on the posters as well as saying hi hope to see my fellow suicidal rodents again soon.

Cataclysm Class changes

Quote from: Bashiok (Source)
Beginning Wednesday, April 7 we will begin releasing class previews containing an overview of some of the changes currently being planned for each of the 10 World of Warcraft classes. The type of information you can expect from these posts are a list of the new spells from 80-85, the new passive mastery bonuses for all talent trees, a brief outline of some of the talent changes we're currently planning, and in some cases new low level spells for select classes.

Guess whos back

Thankfully, i have now passed my last exam ever (and it was a suitably unpleasant exam) so now have more time to start raiding again, rather than popping online for a few minutes in the middle of the night. look forward to raiding with you all again soon!

Tanking

Today I had my first real tanking experience, and though I still have to do lot's of work on it, it was a well done run imo. HoL HC was the place where it happened and we nearly had a full lemmings group (Gart had a bad internet connection and dced a lot, so we could replace him with his permission).

We didn't whipe once, though we had some losses, eventually leaving only me and spit fighting of 4 mobs. When that was done, I joked that usually I do more DPS.

Thanks to spit for an awesome healing job and thanks to Sephy for wispering me some advice wich I could use imediately. And nice to have Kris allong since I can't remember we had met before.

So with a little more practice, better rotation and the enchants still needed on the gear it won't be long before I'll be tanking more than that I dps. Tongue

I can say that I like tanking. Laughing out loud

Change of main

As some of you may have noticed, I've been playing on my paladin much more often than my shaman in recent months, and I really enjoy it! As such (and after consultation with Her Royal Lemmingness Wiggles) I've decided to change my main to Flaxe.

Paladins FTW! Wink

Away until middle of next week

Yo!

Off to Ireland for a few days. Back Tuesday, but I probably wont be able to actually log on until Thursday. Don't kick my toons outta the guild Wiggles! Sad

Lemmings and the slightly less active leader

Hi guys,

as you may have noticed I haven't been online altogether that much in the past few weeks. I have been under some stress in real life due to having my studies & financial situation (among other things) weighing heavily on my mind. These things make me less inclined to log in, and restless to stay online.

On march 1st, I start my internship (web editor at a local newspaper), meaning I won't be able to log in during the day. I also in all honesty don't know how much energy I'll have that first week to come/be online.

I feel it is important as guildleader to be online fairly often, so people can see I'm active, approachable, and part of the guild. However, after thinking about the above for a little while, I have decided that less activity from me doesn't have to mean the guild has a problem, or that I'm less effective as a guildleader.
